Registered Nurse - Rehabilitation Services

Schedule

This position is a 36-hour per week contract, with shifts scheduled from 7:30 PM to 7:30 AM. The contractor is expected to work every other weekend.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) within Rehabilitation Services will provide care for patients who are acutely ill, utilizing clinical reasoning and evidence-based approaches to develop and customize treatment plans. RNs will collaborate with healthcare professionals to create optimal plans of care that consider the patient's physiological, psychosocial, and spiritual needs. This role includes assessing, monitoring, and taking appropriate actions to prevent potential complications while promoting optimal health levels.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat patient responses to actual or potential health conditions.
• Monitor, assess, and plan patient care in collaboration with a healthcare team.
• Document and evaluate individualized care plans consistent with changing patient needs.
• Demonstrate leadership and act as a clinical resource while modeling professional behavior.
• Effectively communicate with colleagues and other healthcare professionals through SBAR and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Manage time effectively to enhance productivity and contribute to team performance.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in acute rehabilitation services.
• Must possess a valid Michigan state RN license.
• Current BLS certification (AHA) is required.
