Registered Nurse - Cardiac Care

Schedule

This position requires 3 × 12-hour shifts, totaling 36 hours per week. The shift schedule is from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care for patients in a cardiac care unit, specifically focusing on those who are cardiac and vascular post-procedural patients, as well as individuals experiencing NSTEMI, Congestive Heart Failure, and 24-48 hours post-op open heart patients. The nurse will be responsible for patient monitoring and care involving chest tubes, CPap/BiPap, blood/blood product administration, cardioversion, and defibrillation.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for cardiac patients.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor vital signs and patient status, making necessary adjustments to care plans.
• Be prepared to float to other units as needed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Pennsylvania RN license.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Experience with chest tubes, CPap/BiPap, and blood/blood product administration is required.
• Must be willing to float to various units within the facility.
