Registered Nurse - Cardiac & Vascular Specialty

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

12-hour night shifts, 7 PM to 7:30 AM, with every other weekend required.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with experience in cardiac and vascular patient care. The nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients recovering from post-procedural interventions, including those with NSTEMI, Congestive Heart Failure, and other cardiac conditions. This role requires strong critical care skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for cardiac and vascular post-procedural patients, including those post-op open heart and post cardiac catheterization.
• Administer blood products and manage chest tubes, CPAP/BiPAP, and perform cardioversion/defibrillation as necessary.
• Monitor vital signs and patient status 24-48 hours post-op.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team and float to various units as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Pennsylvania RN license and fingerprints.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
• Experience with chest tubes, CPAP/BiPAP, blood products, cardioversion, and defibrillation.
• Willingness to float to other units as needed.
