Job Description

We are seeking experienced ICU Registered Nurses for a role within the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). The ideal candidates will be those who are device trained and competent in using a variety of advanced cardiac support devices, including IABP, Nxstage, Impella, and ECMO.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the CVICU.
• Administer medications and monitor patients' vital signs and hemodynamic status.
• Utilize advanced cardiac monitoring and ventilator management.
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care accurately in the Meditech system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years ICU experience.
• Active Texas RN License (no temporary licenses accepted).
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring (e.g., swans, art lines) and ventilator management.
• NIHSS certification required.
