Schedule

Day shift available: 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Call required and every other weekend.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Labor and Delivery unit is responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. The RN will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure the safety and well-being of both mother and newborn.

Responsibilities

• Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs.
• Assist in labor management and support during delivery.
• Provide education and support to new parents.
• Handle emergency situations as necessary, including C-sections and neonatal resuscitation.
• Document patient care and progress in electronic health records (EPIC).
• Administer medications and manage intravenous therapies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery or related field.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is mandatory.
• Must be able to care for COVID patients, as needed.
