Occupational Therapist

Job Description

This is a 13-week contract position for an Occupational Therapist. The role involves providing excellent occupational therapy services by implementing therapy programs for patients referred to the system and offering health and wellness education.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate physical and functional status, including muscle groups, motor function, and neurological status.
• Implement a treatment plan based on evaluations, focusing on manual therapy, modalities, and therapeutic exercises.
• Prepare and instruct patients in therapeutic exercise programs and develop individualized home programs.
• Document evaluations, progress notes, and treatment summaries in compliance with organizational policies.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on managing pain and improving safety and function.
• Perform Functional Capacity Evaluations and Work Screens as needed.
• Collaborate with other health care providers to enhance education and treatment planning.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited AOTA program.
• Montana Licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Participation in two hours of cerebrovascular disease education within the first year of hire is required.
• Preferred: Two years of hospital (inpatient/outpatient) occupational therapy experience.

Schedule

This position requires availability for day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, including every other weekend. On-call work may be required.
