Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:30 - 06:30).

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery provides comprehensive care for women during labor and delivery, as well as during the antepartum, postpartum, and nursery phases. The nurse will facilitate a safe delivery experience and ensure both maternal and fetal health throughout the process.

Responsibilities

• Circulate during C-sections and assist in high-risk deliveries.
• Monitor patients pre-and post-delivery and provide appropriate care.
• Perform assessments, noting vital signs and any issues regarding fetal heart rate patterns.
• Educate parents about childbirth, postpartum care, and breastfeeding support.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and float to other units as needed (Antepartum, Postpartum, PACU).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery.
• Must have experience circulating for C-sections.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, FHM, and NRP.
• Active NJ or Compact nursing license required upon submission.
