Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Float Pool will provide high-quality nursing care to patients across multiple units, ensuring the delivery of comprehensive and individualized care. The RN will float between Mercy Main and West Des Moines, adapting quickly to various clinical environments and patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Assess patient health status and contribute to care planning.
• Monitor and document patient progress and outcomes.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members for optimal patient care.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing.
• COVID-19 vaccination required.
• Completion of a thorough health history and background check.
• Required immunizations: MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap.
• 2 Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) required.
