Outpatient Physical Therapist

Job Description

This is a contract position for an Outpatient Physical Therapist starting in July. The role includes evaluating patients, developing treatment plans, and providing therapy in a supportive and safe environment. This contract lasts 6 months and emphasizes quality patient care and safety in accordance with organizational values.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Develop and implement effective treatment plans that progress patients towards their goals and discharge.
• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner, maintaining compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Ensure treatment is provided under valid physician orders and within insurance approvals.
• Participate in the education and supervision of students as needed.
• Engage in continuous professional development and maintain competency in accordance with state practice acts.
• Adhere to safety standards and promote a safe environment for patients and colleagues.

Schedule

This role operates on a 5x8.0 schedule for 40 hours per week.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 6 months to 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active and applicable state licensure for Physical Therapy.
