Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Varied shifts including 12-hour shifts, with a 36-hour guarantee. On-call schedule to be determined by the facility. Weekend schedule to be determined by the facility.

Job Description

Within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing, the Registered Nurse applies the nursing process to the care of patients. The RN will teach patients and significant others, document patient care in the medical record, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to effectively coordinate overall care of the patient.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients using the nursing process.
• Educate patients and their families regarding health conditions and care plans.
• Document all patient care activities in the medical record.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Recent acute care hospital experience within the past 2 years - REQUIRED
• 2 years of emergency department experience - REQUIRED
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, TNCC, PALS - REQUIRED
• Oregon RN license (must be willing to obtain if not active at the time of submission)
