Schedule

3-12 Hour Shifts: Mids 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM; Every Other Weekend/Every Other Holiday.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Department Nurse to work in a high-traffic ER serving neonates to geriatrics. The facility is equipped with 34 beds and experiences an average of 100 visits per day. Candidates must have experience with the Epic charting system and possess the necessary emergency nursing skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients across a wide age range.
• Utilize Epic and Pyxis systems for patient documentation and medication administration.
• Administer emergency medications and manage various patient scenarios including acute psychosis and respiratory distress.
• Monitor and manage patients in a telemetry unit, perform conscious sedation as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience is required.
• Current NIH Stroke Certification, BLS, ACLS, CPI, and PALS certifications must be active upon submission.
• Charge experience is preferred but not required.
