Registered Nurse - Night Shift (OR, Labor & Delivery, PACU)

This is a 13-week contract position. The nurse will work three 12-hour night shifts per week, from 18:45 to 06:45, totaling 36 hours per week.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care in the Operating Room, Labor & Delivery, Postpartum Couplet Care, and PACU settings. The nurse will be required to circulate in the OR and provide comprehensive care in various maternity and surgical areas.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and effective nursing care to patients in the OR, Labor & Delivery, Postpartum Couplet Care, and PACU.
• Ensure adherence to all hospital protocols and patient safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to facilitate optimal patient outcomes.
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding care procedures and recovery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a relevant specialty.
• Specialty training in circulating in the OR, Labor & Delivery, and PACU.
• Preferred: Scrub nurse trained.

Weekend and Holiday Requirements

• Work every third weekend.
• Rotate holiday requirements, including MLK Jr. Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day.

On-Call Requirements

Be available for on-call duties for 8-12 hours within a 6-week scheduling period.
