Job Description

The Mammography Technician will perform a variety of mammography procedures ensuring the highest quality imaging for patient diagnosis and care. This role requires expertise in both screening and diagnostic mammograms, as well as proficiency in 3-D mammography, stereotactic biopsies, and related procedures. The technician will also adhere to all safety protocols and standards while providing compassionate care to patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammographic imaging procedures accurately and efficiently.
• Provide patient care, ensuring comfort and understanding throughout the process.
• Maintain equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Document imaging procedures in accordance with facility policies and protocols.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in mammography.
• Current BLS certification.
• ARRT certification in Radiography.
• Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.
