Orthopedic and Spine Operating Room Nurse

Schedule

Variable start time depending on OR schedule, which could be as early as 06:00 AM or as late as 08:00 AM. On-call duty is required for one day a week and one total weekend every 7 weeks.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

The Orthopedic and Spine Operating Room Nurse plays a critical role in the surgical team, providing specialized care to patients undergoing orthopedic and spine procedures. You will use your expertise to assist the surgical team while ensuring patient safety and comfort during surgical interventions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures by providing skilled nursing care.
• Ensure proper preparation and maintenance of the OR environment.
• Coordinate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure a smooth workflow.
• Monitor patient vitals and health status during procedures.
• Participate in on-call duties as assigned.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Previous experience in Orthopedic and Spine OR settings is required.
• Valid nursing license and certifications as necessary.
• Completion of required health screenings and vaccinations.
