Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (ED)

This position offers a dayshift schedule with 12-hour shifts.

Assignment Duration

This is a per diem position with an expectation of 3 shifts per month.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) working in the Emergency Department (ED) is responsible for providing direct patient care in a fast-paced environment. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on individual patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments of patients presenting to the emergency department.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families on health management and disease prevention.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN nursing license.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications as applicable.
• Proof of MMR and Varicella vaccination or attestation of vaccination/declination.
