Night shift: 4x10 hours, 19:00 - 05:00 with potential for flexibility. Requires working two weekend nights and holiday call for summer and winter.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to provide outstanding patient care in our surgical unit. The successful candidate will have extensive surgical experience, particularly in a Level I Trauma environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures, ensuring a sterile environment.
• Scrub and circulate for a variety of procedures, including trauma, GI, and transplant surgeries.
• Collaborate effectively with the surgical team to provide high-quality patient care.
• Manage surgical instruments and supplies efficiently during operations.
• Float to GI unit or Center One Surgery Center as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in surgical technology, specifically in a Level I Trauma setting.
• Must possess a valid PA or compact license at the time of submission.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
• Trauma certification required.
• Experience with charting systems, preferably Cerner.
• Experience in circulation and scrub roles for various surgical procedures is preferred.
• Previous charge experience is required.
