Registered Nurse - Med-Surg Telemetry

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, including weekends and holidays.

Job Description

Join a dynamic team in our 42-bed Med-Surg Telemetry unit that supports a diverse patient population including cardiac, diabetes, CHF, COPD, renal, general surgery, and orthopedics. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and therapies as prescribed, including insulin and heparin protocols.
• Monitor patient vitals and conditions, adapting care plans as necessary.
• Document patient care and outcomes using Meditech charting system.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including RNs, LPNs, and unit support staff.
• Assist in the orientation of new staff and support continuous education on protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a compact license.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a med-surg or telemetry setting.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and CPI required.
• Experience with Meditech charting system is preferred.
• Traveler must be proficient with titration of insulin and Lasix drips.
