NICU Registered Nurse

Night Shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated NICU Registered Nurse to provide specialized care for our neonatal patients. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, with a proven ability to manage a patient ratio of 1:3. This role offers the opportunity to work in a Level III NICU, which provides care for infants who are 22 weeks and older.

Responsibilities

• Administration of medications and treatments, including blood products, anti-seizure medications, and antibiotics/antivirals.
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and perform procedures such as lumbar punctures.
• Monitor vital signs and recognize signs of neonatal sepsis and respiratory distress syndrome.
• Provide developmental care, including support for breastfeeding and handling of breast milk.
• Manage and care for various neonatal conditions including hyperbilirubinemia and neonatal abstinence syndrome.
• Coordinate and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a NICU setting.
• Valid BLS and NRP certifications required.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
• Must be able to work weekends, with a schedule of every other weekend required.
• Candidates may float to the Bryn Mawr Campus as needed.
