Schedule

5x8 hour Days, on call/callback/holiday per unit needs with 5–7 call shifts per 7-week time block (2–4 of these days will be weekend call).

Job Description

The Interventional Radiology Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, assisting in interventional procedures, and ensuring a high standard of patient care. The technologist will demonstrate competence in selecting exposure factors, positioning, and producing quality radiologic images. This role requires collaboration with team members to address issues and maintain a positive and respectful environment for patients.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and prepare patients for examinations and assist Radiologists during procedures.
• Operate all necessary imaging equipment and report malfunctions to management.
• Complete procedures in a timely manner while assisting with room turnover and supporting colleagues as needed.
• Maintain medication security and ensure it is only accessible to authorized personnel.
• Demonstrate competency in interpersonal relationships across all age groups.
• Maintain confidentiality and exhibit good phone etiquette while answering inquiries.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must possess NYS License (or be able to obtain prior to start).
• American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
• A minimum of two years of experience in a Radiology setting is required.
• VIR Certification is preferred.
