Ultrasound Technologist – High-Risk Obstetrics
Schedule
This position is for a 40-hour work week, with shifts from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. No weekends or holiday shifts are required.
Job Description
As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will perform and assist with various ultrasound procedures in a high-risk obstetric specialty practice. You will follow protocols established by radiologists, prepare and maintain equipment, ensure proper patient preparation, and operate ultrasound equipment. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team that coordinates care for pregnant patients with complex medical and pregnancy-related conditions, ensuring timely diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment planning.
Responsibilities
- Perform and assist with advanced prenatal ultrasound procedures.
- Check and prepare ultrasound equipment for procedures.
- Ensure proper patient preparation and safety during examinations.
- Coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team including obstetric providers and maternal-fetal medicine specialists.
- Manage routine follow-up care and urgent evaluations for patients throughout their pregnancy continuum.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Graduate of a 2-year AMA approved Ultrasound program required.
- 2+ years of experience in Ultrasound, preferably with high-risk obstetrics or maternal-fetal medicine.
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with an OB specialty required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Current licensure as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer is required.
