Skilled Nursing - Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

0.9 FTE day shift from 0630 to 1900, with every third weekend and a holiday rotation.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Skilled Nursing units. The candidate must hold a current Wisconsin RN License and CPR certification. Travelers may be asked to float to other in-patient units due to census needs.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, standards of care, and State laws/practice act.
• Documents according to standards of care.
• Develops, initiates, and executes a patient plan of care according to individualized patient needs, as prescribed by a Physician and/or hospital policy, including patient and family instruction.
• Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance.
• Utilizes clinical expertise to guide other units/departments in support of the patient’s longitudinal plan of care.
• Applies critical thinking in relation to patient safety and experience, appropriately escalating concerns through the chain of command.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse License
• CPR certification
• Education verification
