Nursery Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Night shift: 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) with every other weekend required.

Job Description

The Nursery Registered Nurse will provide high-quality care for neonates in a Level 1 and Level 2 nursery setting, ensuring optimal delivery of care from delivery through discharge. The RN will be responsible for managing patient care, monitoring vital signs, and assisting in therapeutic interventions.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the nursery setting for neonates, including stabilization and transfer of Level III babies.
• Monitor and administer therapies such as phototherapy and antibiotics.
• Perform assessments and interventions for neonates experiencing conditions such as opioid withdrawal.
• Participate in care coordination and interdepartmental collaboration within the women's care areas.
• Contribute to unit operations, including charge nurse duties as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a neonatal or nursery setting.
• Current RN license in South Carolina or multi-state/compact license.
• Certifications required: BLS, NRP.
• Charge nurse experience preferred.
• Experience with Level 1 & 2 nursery settings is required.
• Comfortable with procedures including delivery to discharge.
