Schedule

3x12 hour Night Shifts: 7 PM - 7:30 AM with 4-5 weekend shifts required per 4-week period and holiday rotation.

Job Description

The Medical-Surgical Neuro RN will provide comprehensive care to adult and geriatric patients in a 23-bed inpatient General Neurology/Medical Stroke/Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. The RN will be responsible for managing the care of patients with various neurological conditions including seizures, strokes, and other neuromuscular diseases.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient health, specifically neurology-related conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Manage epilepsy monitoring and assist in stroke care.
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding care and conditions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required.
• SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred.
• Experience in neurology or a medical-surgical environment preferred.
