Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position. The schedule includes 3 twelve-hour shifts per week, rotating between days, evenings, and nights, with weekend requirements every other weekend.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) with a strong background in trauma and various surgical specialties. The ideal candidate will be proficient in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and possess excellent clinical skills to provide high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient care before, during, and after surgeries.
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of surgical instruments and sterile environments.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to any changes during surgical procedures.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding surgical procedures and recovery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Operating Room within the last 3 years; 3 years preferred.
• Level 1 Trauma experience for at least 1 year out of the last 3 years.
• A minimum of 1 year of travel nursing experience within the last 3 years.
• Active RN license and required certifications.
• Experience in General, Ortho, Neuro, Vascular, Trauma, Robotics, and Transplant procedures.
• Must demonstrate scrub experience in all specified cases.
