Job Description

The ICU Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced environment. The nurse will utilize advanced clinical skills and critical thinking to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care effectively. A focus on collaboration and teamwork is essential in this role.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage patient outcomes with critical acuity.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the healthcare provider.
• Perform specialized nursing procedures such as intubations and central line placements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and health-related topics.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 1-year current acute care ICU hospital experience.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• NIHSS certification preferred.
• Experience with medical ICU and neuro patients is a plus.
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR is preferred.
