This is a 13-week contract position with a schedule of 1900-0730.

Job Description

The Gastrointestinal (GI)/COVID Medical/Surgical Unit is a thirty-four bed unit designed to provide comprehensive care for adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. This unit features all acute care private rooms equipped with telemetry capability, ensuring a high standard of care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in a medical/surgical setting.
• Monitor patients’ conditions and perform timely assessments.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Utilize electronic medical records, including Accudose and Cerner, for documentation and reporting.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in the specialty is required.
• AHA BLS and NIH certifications are required.
• ACLS certification is preferred.
