Registered Nurse - Night Shift (7 PM - 7 AM) - 13-Week Assignment

Night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM, rotating weekends and holidays.

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission, forming individualized care plans.
• Identify teaching needs related to each patient's diagnosis through collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in a timely and accurate manner.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program and provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education on the day of admission.
• Ensure effective communication regarding changes in patient status to support continuity of care.
• Supervise ancillary nursing personnel and provide direction, training, and problem-solving techniques.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety policies and procedures.
• Contribute to a positive unit environment through communication and team-building activities.
• Assume charge responsibilities as needed after orientation.
• Pursue professional growth and continuing education actively.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS Certification required prior to first shift (for CIRH only).
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
