Registered Nurse - Med/Tele Night Shift

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for our Med/Tele Complex Care unit. This position involves providing comprehensive care to patients on a 37-bed unit during the night shift, ensuring quality medical and telemetry care in a dynamic environment.

Schedule

This is a 12-hour night shift position from 7 PM to 7 AM, with options for 36 or 48 hours per week. Nurses are required to work at least one weekend shift per week or two weekend shifts every other weekend, along with one holiday shift during the contract period.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in acute medical-surgical and telemetry nursing.
• 2 years of U.S. work experience required for non-U.S. candidates.
• Active NY RN license and AHA BLS certification are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide essential care to patients on the Med/Tele unit, including assessment, planning, and implementation of patient care plans.
• Monitor vital signs and clinical indicators to ensure patient safety and quality of care.
• Document patient assessments and care using the EPIC charting system.
• Participate in teamwork and be flexible to float to other units as needed.
• Be willing to take charge when required and support nursing staff in their clinical duties.

Assignment Duration

This is a 16-week contract position.
