Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist - Lymphedema Therapy

AM shifts with 5 × 8 hour shifts per week.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist specializing in the treatment of lymphedema. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients, focusing on their specific needs and treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients with lymphedema or related conditions.
• Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT), including manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) and compression bandaging.
• Conduct garment fitting and provide therapeutic exercises.
• Educate patients and caregivers on skin care and home management practices.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• License as a Physical Therapist (PT) or Occupational Therapist (OT).
• Certification in Lymphedema Therapy from an accredited program (e.g., CLT or equivalent) or extensive experience in treating lymphedema patients.
• Strong knowledge of the lymphatic system and related conditions.
• Compassionate approach to working with patients facing chronic conditions.
