Schedule

Night shift: 3 × 12 hour shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, including every other weekend and floating to Hampden Medical Center.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care to cardiac and vascular patients post-procedure. This role involves assessing patient needs, administering medications, and monitoring vital signs.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients in post-operative and post-procedural settings, including open heart and cardiac catheterization.
• Administer medications, including blood/blood products, as needed.
• Manage patients with chest tubes, CPap/BiPap, and perform cardioversion/defibrillation.
• Respond to and document changes in patient conditions.
• Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Pennsylvania nursing license.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Experience with chest tubes and cardiac care is essential.
• Must be willing to float as needed.
