CVICU Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position scheduled for night shifts: 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15). Every other weekend is required, with the possibility of floating to MSICU, Neuro ICU, or Burn ICU as needed.

Job Description

The Critical Care Unit (CVICU) is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with at least two years of experience to join our team for night shifts. The successful candidate will provide exceptional care to patients with cardiac surgical and medical needs, and occasionally assist with adult medical ICU overflow.

Responsibilities

• Manage patients with complex cardiovascular conditions.
• Administer medications and monitor vital signs.
• Assist with procedures, including chest tube insertion/removal and arterial line management.
• Provide care for ventilated patients and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams and respiratory services.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid RN license in Oklahoma or Compact State.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a CVICU or similar unit.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required.
• Experience with arterial lines, central lines, and ventilator management preferred.
• Proven ability to manage patients with multi-system organ dysfunction/failure.
