Job Description

The Surgical Technologist will provide support in the operating room setting during surgical procedures, working alongside surgical teams to ensure a sterile environment. Responsibilities include preparing surgical instruments, assisting in procedures, and maintaining equipment.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the surgical procedure by preparing and passing instruments.
• Ensure a sterile field is maintained throughout procedures.
• Assist in patient positioning and preparation.
• Manage surgical equipment and supplies.
• Support the surgical team with various tasks as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a Surgical Technologist.
• Certifications: BLS, CST or NBSTSA required.
• Experience in various surgical procedures including:
  • Tonsillectomy/Adenoidectomy
  • Appendectomy
  • Cholecystectomy
  • Colon Re-section (Open/LAP)
  • Hernia Repair (Inguinal/Umbilical)
  • Thyroidectomy (Partial/Total)
  • Abdominal Hysterectomy
  • Anterior/Posterior Repair (Colporrhaphy)
  • Bilateral Tubal Ligation
  • Dilation & Curettage
  • Vaginal Hysterectomy
  • Arthroscopy
  • Closed/Open Reduction of Fractures
  • Total Hip Replacement
  • Total Knee Replacement
  • Gynecologic Robotic Surgery
  • Cystoscopy
  • Nephrectomy
  • Prostatectomy
  • Transurethral Resection of the Prostate
