Outpatient Occupational Therapist with Lymphedema Experience
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Outpatient Occupational Therapist to evaluate patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans according to patients' needs, goals, and physician directions. This role includes the delegation and direction of therapy services, ensuring effective return to community activities while adhering to the organization's mission of delivering superior quality care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans focused on patient goals and discharge readiness.
- Document patient interactions accurately, including treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, in compliance with organizational policies.
- Maintain communication with other healthcare professionals and report on patient progress as required.
- Participate in the education and supervision of students in clinical settings as assigned.
- Actively engage in professional development through continuing education and involvement in relevant professional organizations.
- Adhere to applicable state practice acts and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
- Promote a patient and employee safety culture, focusing on specific safety protocols and guidelines.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Active and applicable state licensure.
- A minimum of 6 months to 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
- Certification in CPR.
- Lymphedema experience is required.
Schedule
This position operates on a 5x8.0 schedule, providing flexibility and regular hours in an outpatient setting.
