This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Nights, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Every other weekend and holiday required.

Job Description

The Travel Med Surg RN will provide direct nursing care for general medical and surgical patients, including short stay procedures, orthopedic, and stroke patients. Responsibilities also cover remote telemetry monitored patients and require adherence to floating requirements as needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor vital signs and conduct assessments.
• Administer medications as per physician orders.
• Perform EKGs and IV insertions.
• Insert Foley catheters.
• Conduct point-of-care testing (blood glucose).
• Assist with rapid sequence intubation (RSI).
• Document patient care activities accurately.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1-2+ years of experience in Medical-Surgical nursing.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
