Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist

Job Description

The Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist is an allied health professional responsible for performing diagnostic examinations at the request or direction of an Interventional Cardiologist during invasive cardiology, noninvasive cardiology, and/or peripheral vascular study procedures. The technologist collects and records subjective data to obtain information necessary for establishing an accurate anatomical and physiological diagnosis for each patient.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic examinations during various cardiology procedures.
• Collect and record patient data to support diagnosis.
• Work collaboratively with Interventional Cardiologists.
• Maintain compliance with certifications and emergency response protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of an Associate Degree or graduate from an approved Cardiovascular Training Program or an accredited Allied Health Program.
• Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) is required.
• At least 2 years of experience in the cardiovascular specialty.
• Must obtain and maintain certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Adult Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).

Schedule

This position operates on a schedule of 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The call commitment includes one week night and one weekend per month.
