Job Description

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with respiratory insufficiencies, including those in the NICU. This role requires a skilled professional capable of managing acute respiratory care and collaborating with a close-knit team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory care procedures per prescribed protocols.
• Evaluate patient condition and adjust treatments as necessary.
• Utilize equipment such as Servo I ventilators, nebulizers, and CPAP/BIPAP machines.
• Conduct ABGs and other diagnostic tests.
• Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech EMR.
• Collaborate with medical staff to develop care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have NICU experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Minimum of 2 years of current acute care hospital RRT experience is required.
• Trauma experience and Meditech proficiency are preferred.
