Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, with rotating weekends. No call requirements.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Labor and Delivery unit. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional nursing care to expectant mothers and their newborns, ensuring a safe and supportive environment during labor and delivery processes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess the condition of mothers and babies during labor.
• Administer medications and assist with procedures such as C-sections and vaginal deliveries.
• Provide education and support to patients and families throughout the birthing process.
• Coordinate with healthcare team members to develop and implement effective care plans.
• Maintain a safe and sterile environment in the delivery room.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license.
• BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications required.
• Intermediate fetal monitoring experience.
• 2+ years of nursing experience in Labor & Delivery.
• Experience with C-section circulation and SVE competency is a must.
• Preference for candidates with internal monitor placement competency and previous HCA assignment/employment.
• Experience in a Level IV unit is a plus.
