Physical Therapist Assistant

Job Description

Under the direction and supervision of physical therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) treat patients through exercise, massage, gait and balance training, and other therapeutic interventions. PTAs are responsible for recording patients' progress and reporting the results of each treatment to the supervising physical therapist.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans.
• Provide therapy interventions including exercises and manual therapies.
• Document and track patient progress and treatment outcomes.
• Report changes in patients' conditions to physical therapists.

Schedule

This position requires an 8-hour days shift with 40 hours guaranteed per week.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of PTA experience - Required
• Valid Texas or compact license - Required

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
