Radiologic Technologist - CT Tech

Nights, variable, 30-40 hours a week, with potential to cover in the Orthopedic clinic for half of the time.

Job Description

This position involves performing a variety of Radiographic and Computed Tomography procedures at a skilled technical level, requiring the ability to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. The role includes ensuring the professional and efficient daily operation of the Medical Imaging/CT Departments.

Responsibilities

• Perform all routine Radiographic procedures, CT Exams, and fluoroscopic procedures, including pediatric, adult, trauma, routine, portables, STAT, and surgery exams.
• Assist Radiologist with diagnostic CT procedures and record information for physicians.
• Oversee quality assurance of all department equipment, tracking mechanical failures, issuing service requests, and ensuring equipment is in good condition for use.
• Monitor inventory and supplies, proactively ensuring appropriate levels.
• Assist Radiologist or medical staff with special diagnostic procedures while practicing safe operation of equipment.
• Verify the existence and accuracy of exam requests and consents.

Qualifications

• California Registered Radiologic Technologist license required.
• California Registered Fluoroscopy permit required.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification required.
• CT, X-ray, and Fluoroscopy experience required.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
