Med Surge Registered Nurse (RN) - Post Acute Inpatient Care

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3 × 12 hour shifts per week, from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, including every other weekend and holidays at hospital discretion.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Med Surge Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at a 60-bed post-acute inpatient care hospital. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, ensuring comfort and well-being for all patients during their recovery.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient needs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
• Monitor patient progress and report any changes to the healthcare team promptly.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans.
• Educate patients and their families about disease management and prevention.
• Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience in med surge nursing preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
