Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Acute Care

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shifts: 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) or 4x12 hours, with weekends and holidays required every other week.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with acute care experience. The successful candidate will ensure high-quality patient care and work effectively within a team-oriented environment. Responsibilities will include medication administration, monitoring patient vitals, and adhering to established protocols for patient treatment.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Monitor and document patient vitals and status changes.
• Manage dysrhythmias and utilize rapid response/code teams as necessary.
• Provide care for peripheral lines, nasal cannulas, and oxygen administration.
• Ensure compliance with isolation precautions and safety protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care experience required.
• Current New York State LPN license required.
• BLS certification and completion of 8 hours of stroke education required.
