Sterile Processing Clinical Educator

This is a full-time position consisting of 5 x 8-hour shifts per week, from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Job Description

The Sterile Processing Clinical Educator will lead and coordinate the orientation process for new staff, along with developing and delivering ongoing education programs on decontamination, disinfection, sterilization, and new equipment/procedures. This role requires collaboration with management to identify training needs and support staff development, ensuring compliance and promoting performance improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate orientation process for new staff including preceptor selection, scheduling, and mentoring support.
• Develop and deliver ongoing education programs related to sterile processing.
• Collaborate with management to identify training needs and support staff development.
• Manage the Instrument Asset Management System, including data maintenance, reporting, and training.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in sterile processing.
• Certifications required: CRCST, CER, CIS, and BLS (AHA).
