Day Shift Respiratory Therapist - Contract Position

Schedule

This position requires a schedule of 3x12 hour shifts during the day, with on-call responsibilities for one night following each shift (e.g., 3 shifts with 3 nights of call).

Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist will provide high-quality care to patients requiring respiratory support. This includes the operation and management of ventilators and other respiratory devices, collaborating with healthcare teams to create and implement optimal respiratory care plans.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and interventions to patients.
• Monitor and assess patients' respiratory status and their response to therapy.
• Operate and maintain respiratory equipment, including ventilators and CPAP devices.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care practices and equipment usage.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) experience.
• Previous travel experience is highly preferred.
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Active American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Active American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification is highly preferred.
• All licenses and certifications must be current at the time of submission.
• Permanent address must be included in the submission file.
