Registered Respiratory Therapist - NICU/PEDS

Assignment Duration

This is a 12-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: Night, 3 × 12-hour shifts per week (6:45 PM to 7:15 AM) with weekend rotation every third week and potential holidays.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist with experience in NICU and PEDS to provide comprehensive respiratory care services for patients from neonates to geriatrics. The ideal candidate will be proficient in both invasive and non-invasive ventilation management and various respiratory procedures.

Responsibilities

• Administer nebulizer medication and Meter Dose Inhaler (MDI) medication.
• Initiate and manage invasive and non-invasive ventilation.
• Perform arterial blood collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Oversee airway management and assist with intubation and bedside bronchoscopies.
• Provide trach care and internal transport for patients.
• Deliver neonatal bubble CPAP and high flow oxygen therapy.
• Implement bronchopulmonary hygiene techniques.
• Deliver oxygen therapy and ensure patient comfort.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have prior NICU and PEDS experience.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS are required.
• Valid state license as a Respiratory Therapist is necessary; please note that the Pennsylvania license may take 6-8 weeks to process.
