Interventional Radiology Technologist

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 4x10 hours (07:30 - 18:00). Weekend and on-call requirements are expected.

Job Description

The Interventional Radiology Technologist will provide comprehensive imaging services in a Level II trauma center with a focus on a variety of interventional procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and operating radiographic equipment, assisting with procedures, and ensuring patient safety throughout the imaging process.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist with interventional procedures including but not limited to angiograms, stents, and ablations.
• Maintain equipment and manage inventory to ensure optimal functioning.
• Monitor patients’ conditions during procedures and respond appropriately to any changes.
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards.
• Document patient information accurately and use Cerner EMR for charting as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Interventional Radiology.
• Current certification as an ARRT (R) and ARRT (VI) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
• Florida state licensure is required.
• Experience with vascular procedures such as stents, angioplasty, and thrombolysis is essential.
• Knowledge of PACS and equipment such as Siemens and GE systems preferred.
