Outpatient Physical Therapist

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating assigned patients and developing, implementing, and modifying treatment plans in alignment with patient needs, goals, and physician direction. This role involves delegating and directing discipline-specific therapy services while ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that facilitate a safe return to community activities. The therapist serves as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers, and is expected to adhere to professional standards and organizational compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Document medical records clearly, accurately and in compliance with regulations.
• Provide therapy under signed, valid physician orders while ensuring insurance approval.
• Participate in student programs and provide supervision and evaluations.
• Create and maintain a professional development plan through continuing education.
• Adhere to state practice acts and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
• Understand and contribute to the organization’s performance improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state where work will be performed.
• Previous successful assignments with the agency are highly desired.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with a 5x8.0 shift, starting ASAP.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
