Computed Tomography Technologist
Job Description
The Computed Tomography Technologist provides health care services by applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment. This role involves performing radiographic procedures and related techniques, producing diagnostic images for interpretation by a licensed practitioner. The technologist will also conduct computed tomography and related procedures to demonstrate sectional anatomic images, exercising professional judgment while maintaining medical ethics.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiography procedures and ensure patient clinical history is corroborated.
- Prepare patients for procedures, minimizing anxiety and maximizing cooperation.
- Select and operate radiography equipment to achieve desired results.
- Position patients appropriately for examinations, considering their comfort and ability.
- Determine radiographic technique exposure factors, minimizing exposure to patients and others.
- Evaluate images for technical quality, ensuring proper identification is recorded.
- Assist licensed practitioners with interventional procedures and fluoroscopy as necessary.
- Maintain knowledge of and observe Universal precautions, providing patient education.
- Perform venipunctures and prepare, identify, and/or administer contrast media as required.
- Support the hospital mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures.
- Participate in educational programs relevant to the position.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Licenses/Certifications: OBMI and ARRT registered CT technologist, Current BLS certification.
- Preferred: CRASE training.

This position has a variable shift schedule.
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
