Job Description

The CT Scan Technologist is responsible for producing diagnostic CT scans, assisting the radiologist in procedures, and ensuring optimal patient care. The role also involves managing the daily workflow and coordinating services for outpatients and inpatients while adhering to departmental policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to established guidelines and departmental policies.
• Assist in diagnostic CT scan procedures and ensure high-quality imaging.
• Administer IV contrast materials under the direction of the radiologist.
• Maintain current CPR certification and participate in mandatory in-services.
• Coordinate daily workflow and assist with patient throughput in the CT department.
• Stay updated with advancements in CT imaging and techniques.
• Provide optimal patient care through assessment and evaluation for various age groups.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of two years of clinical experience in imaging, including trauma experience.
• American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography (R) and CT (CT).
• State of Nevada license for Medical Radiography.
• AHA BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.
