Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position involves providing high-quality care to patients in a specialized cardiothoracic intensive care unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing with specific expertise in managing patients recovering from cardiac surgery.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients recovering from cardiothoracic procedures.
• Administer medications and manage treatment plans as prescribed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.
• Educate patients and families regarding recovery and home care.
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records in the EPIC system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cardiothoracic ICU setting.
• Experience with fresh hearts is required.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Proficiency in EPIC electronic health records.
• Travel experience is required.
