Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift from 19:00 to 07:00, with a 3x12-hour schedule. Every other weekend is required.

Job Description

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will provide comprehensive respiratory care including floor care, emergency response, and rapid response activities. The position may float between units depending on patient acuity.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory assessments and treatments on patients across various age groups, including pediatric and geriatric populations.
• Engage in code response efforts and manage rapid response situations.
• Administer medications via aerosol setups and mechanical ventilation therapies.
• Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and respond to alarms and troubleshooting as necessary.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and patient care planning.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid Washington state license as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Experience in a Level II Trauma Center or pediatric trauma care is preferred.
